TOKENIZATION

Thanks to the power of blockchain technology, we can leverage one of the most unique advantages of decentralized ledgers, which is the ability to create tokens. 

We can summarize tokens as assets assigned to an account and whose ownership is assured by a consensus algorithms.

To fully understand our tokenization services, it is important to talk about the two main categories of tokens:

• Fungible tokens: each token represents one unit of account. They are interchangeable and have the same value as classic cryptocurrencies (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum);

• Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT): here each token uniquely represents an asset. These tokens are unique and not directly interchangeable with other tokens.

In turn, a non-fungible token can be used to represent an equity, a utility or a stablecoin, extending the concept beyond the mere representation of digital assets, to real or value-representing financial instruments.

The adoption of these concepts allows to create complex dynamics to build applications where all actors (users, suppliers, investors) are encouraged to participate for a reward system. In this way we generate self-sustaining ecosystems. 

At the same time, implementing a protocol based on token exchange makes value exchanges much more efficient, and it is easier to perform audit operations.

You can see an example of this approach by studying one of our projects, EarnKarma. 

Based on an equity token (GLDKRM) to facilitate investor entry and incentivise DAO members in policies and voting, a utility token (KRM) to represent user participation status and NFTs to represent services offered. 

EarnKarma uses KRM tokens as a measure of altruistic contribution in society, emphasizing the symbolic and non-commercial value of the token, while GLDKRM serves to incentivize investments within the network. 

In addition, this project implements a single market where NFT tokens can represent different types of contributions, such as time donations, skills or financial resources, strengthening the social impact and transparency of operations.
